IMAGINARY SPACE
Hiding behind a black curtain, there was a dream. A dream I could never explain with words, so I started to look for it. I found myself constantly trying to remove the sense of a horizon. Gravity lost it ́s grip and everything started flowing.
It developed into an expression I like to call “changing shapes”.
In trying to depict a reocurring visual dream I was inspired to breathe life into dynamic shapes, capturing the movement of rocks, clay and dust - creating compositions akin to airborne sculptures. The Imaginary Space video is an animated compilation of these photographs, digitally dissected and set into motion. In some pieces, the materials have ceased motion, dried up, existing in an empty landscape of nothingness.
To date, pieces from the series have been presented in five different exhibitions, received an award, and been acquired for collections.
